We have no aspirations to be like anyone else. We do not have growth goals, profit goals, size goals, etc. We have servant leader mentalities. We feel good when one of our clients achieves something he or she didn’t think was possible. The client feels the exhilaration of victory. We high five. Our process starts at the point many others ignore: vision. We do not work with anyone who does not have a vision or cannot explain his or her vision. We do not just accept pretty words. We question, and question, and question to understand clearly what a client wants to achieve. Many times we go to a level even the client had not considered. We really want to understand each client’s competitive discriminators and how that discriminator will make him or her stand out from others. Giving presentations to groups or helping students in a class setting understand where they competitively stand in soft skills, is not getting to where we start: vision. Most schools do not coach students to have a vision that permeates every aspect of what they do. Beautiful, flowery words are just words. We listen and observe details in every conversation, every interaction, to connect dots on fundamentals that most people ignore. The people we want to fall through our marketing funnel are those people who have a vision but are frustrated that all their hard work is not succeeding. They have gaps! They have not been able to close those gaps by any means they have tried. Talking to others, reading books, going to seminars, listening to leadership speeches, working more, etc. — these just don’t hit the mark. Why? Because every person is different and there are too many business variables that make things complex. Focus is key. We question people to get to the critical barriers slowing their approaches. We do not choose to work with just anyone, and many people choose not to work with us. That is the way it should be. If we cannot build a win-win relationship based on compatible philosophies, then everyone wastes their time. We give people homework to think about, thinking that requires them to connect the dots in what they have said and what they want to do as they proceed. We can tell whether they are serious or they are talkers. We stop the process with talkers. Talkers don’t have the courage to act differently than others. Excellence is internally generated, not externally motivated. People with whom we work generate excellence because they do the work and the thinking themselves. We coach and question, but we do not do it for them. Joyce and I have both changed the game in different environments, changed approaches to business-as-usual that no one else had the courage to do. We bring the perspective that anything is possible if you have the right vision to lead the way. Big things are accomplished by doing the little things extremely well. Everyone can understand the little things and that is why connecting the dots is so important to anyone. Left unchecked, those little things will cause big problems at some point.

RATES VS. DONATION How do rates apply to us as a nonprofit organization? We are a nonprofit that relies on donations to help people and organizations close gaps to success. Because our mission is first and foremost to help people, we do not “charge” for our services in the traditional sense. However, time is scarce, and everyone is busy. We do not want to waste anyone’s time, nor do we want anyone wasting our time. Our approach moving forward encompasses an initial meeting and an optional second meeting to determine if we can help you and whether you have the attitude and work ethic to apply the help you receive. If we decide to work together, we then suggest a donation rate that is reasonable for you.
Inspired VDL, Inc. Rates VS. DONATION Approach Each gap scenario is different. The work needed to close gaps varies widely in duration, steps, and complexity. Based on our first two discussions we will have an idea of the scope of work necessary for closing your gap. We will discuss our thoughts with you and understand your particular situation to make working together productive and realistic.
